Some say, “when you know, you know.” Jeff told Tali he loved her on the first date… so I guess you could say he knew! Fast forward to their Moli’i Gardens wedding and we ALL knew. These two are so perfect for each other and their intimate destination wedding was so stunning. I asked them to share some details behind the gorgeous details!
Your wedding was full of beautiful details, and everyone especially loved the arch! Tell us about your inspiration for the day.
We wanted to have a romantic, rustic garden-feel on our day since we chose a garden venue. We love the look of eucalyptus, so we knew that was a must and our florist (Plant Hawaii) suggested we use king protea to accent our arrangements. The combination was just stunning!
Moli’i Gardens is one of my favorite venues! What was your favorite thing about your venue, and your favorite part of the day (if you can pick one!)
Our favorite part of the venue was that our guests would be able to enjoy different scenery throughout the day/evening – from the pond during the ceremony to the cottage ”Dupree house” during cocktails and finally the mountains during the reception. It kept things interesting as everyone got to explore a new view and area of the gardens.
Our favorite part of the day was the ceremony. It was so intimate and the view with so magical, and we were in the company of everyone we loved.
What advice would you give to someone planning a destination wedding away from home?
Choose your vendors at least 12months in-advance! We were so lucky to have found the best-of-the-best in terms of wedding planner, photographer, food, venue, hair/make-up artist, videographer, florist, etc. Once we found the people who would make it all happen, the rest of the details just fell into place. Also, we highly recommend creating a Pinterest page of things you do (and don’t) want on your big day. It made visualizing our day so much easier.
