Photogs – I know that it can be so easy to get caught up in the comparison game. But I have some news for your…. your follower count means diddly squat 😮 And here’s why!

You might be thinking….
❌The larger my following, the more I will book
❌I need 10k followers to make 10k months
❌”So and so” has x amount of followers. She is more successful than I am.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In reality…
✅If you are not talking to and marketing toward your ideal client, you will book nada from your IG. No matter the number next to your name.
✅Quality > quantity. 100 followers who love your work and are interested in buying from you will bring in more money than 10k with 0 interest in buying will.
✅Your success and your worth is not defined by your Instagram following. Aaaand I think it’s good to toss in a healthy reminder: People buy followers. Don’t compare yourself to strangers on the internet.

If you want to grow a following that appreciates what you have to offer, you can:
✨ Offer value & a reason to check in with you. Whether that’s with providing education, inspiration or sharing more of who you are behind the screen. People need to hear what you have to say!
✨ Show up often. If you are using your IG for business – that means IG is part of your job. Build Instagramming into your work schedule, and batch schedule your posts. I personally use Fridays to schedule what I’m going to post the next week. With that being said – if I’m in a different mindset when it comes time to posting I will change the content. I don’t want to ever fake it.
✨Be social!! I can’t stress this enough. If you show up just to post and ghost and then wonder why nobody is engaging with you or buying from you, this is why!! My favorite part of IG is interacting with everyone that engages, and it makes it way more fun.
