It is always so amazing to part of someone’s proposal. I get just as excited as the guy does for planning the big day, and I swear sometimes I am just as nervous! I not only get to capture their joy in the moment, but I get to really experience it as well. Joel and I emailed back and forth for a while about his plan to propose to his girlfriend Luisa while they were visiting on Oahu. Because he was in Germany, our communication was limited, but he pulled it off perfectly (even if the couple arrived a tad bit late)! He told Luisa he purchased a photography session as her Christmas present, but little did she know that he planned to pull out a Tiffany’s box and pop the question half way through the session. He also hired a ukelele player to come out and play Bruno Mars’ “Just the Way You Are” the moment he got down on one knee, and he stuck around to play some more of their favorite songs. It really was a great moment to be part of. Best wishes to this wonderful couple!
