You might recognize these two from their Hawaii proposal, when Dylan surprised Kristyna and got down on one knee during a sunrise session. Not only was I lucky enough to photograph the “yes!” I got to be there for the “I do” at their Blockhouse Portland wedding. Dylan and Kristyna’s adventure started with a right swipe and they bonded over their love of travel and exploring Portland.
Their wedding day was a departure from my usual beach weddings, and I loved it! I got to mix things up in the vintage home for Kristyna’s getting ready photos, and their greenhouse first look made my plant loving heart so happy. Kristyna kept gushing over a brick wall near the venue. She would often take a quick detour on her way home from work or running errands to drive by it. The rain held off long enough for us to take couples portraits and wedding party photos there and it was so fun! The Blockhouse was the perfect intimate setting for their ceremony and reception, and don’t even get me started on how amazing the food was!
Kristyna sent me the best message when she saw the gallery! “You have a serious gift and we will treasure these photos forever. I’m seriously going to have a hard time deciding which ones to print and hanging our house. Is all of them too much?” Nope! Hang all the photos!!
