Not only is Hawaii a top wedding destination, it’s a top honeymoon spot! I love when couples pack up their wedding attire to adventure around the islands. I get to capture such a fun time in my clients’ lives as they officially start their journey as husband and wife! I love being an Oahu adventure photographer because that means I get all the awesome clients who love to explore. And you already know how much I love to document adventures on the islands with my camera in hand!
Katie and Derek came to Oahu from the midwest to celebrate their honeymoon. I chose one of my favorite locations for both stunning views and an incredible beach. We got so lucky with the swell that day as they ended their session with the waves crashing all around them.
I love hearing my couples’ love stories! Katie and Derek go all the way back to the 8th grade! When Katie got on the bus with her tennis gear, Derek took that as his in. He asked her for some tennis lessons, but little did Katie know Derek had been playing his entire life! Katie turned into the student, and admitted that she might have been too nervous to hang out if she knew how good he was. Good thing Derek had some game and made it happen!
