My vendor spotlight series is back! This time with a favorite go-to Oahu officiant, Wesley with Love Always Weddings! Wesley doubles as an officiant and coordinator, and is an all around boss babe! Seriously, she has an amazing positive presence, and it’s always great to see her smiling face! We really bonded over our love for adventure elopements, and island hopping to Maui is becoming a regular thing for she and I for those gorgeous waterfall elopements. Get to know Wesley below!
How long have you been in business? How did you become an Oahu officiant?
I have been in the business for a little over a year. It all started when a photographer friend told me I would be great at officiating weddings. I jumped right into it & I was hooked- then it just grew right after that into coordinating wedding/ elopements.
What sets you apart from other officiants on Oahu?
Not to toot my own horn, but my it’s my personality! I am very personable, intuitive, bubbly, positive, out-going, and I have a calming spirit in stressful situation which in weddings definitely helps. I treat my clients with professionalism but also as best friends. You can tell that I love to have fun when I’m working with my clients!
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of the job is working with couples that have the same interests/personality as me- adventurous spirits, wanting to create an epic wedding day (hiking, get their feet wet, down to the get dirty) compared to the standard wedding of a hotel. I love adventurous elopements. Anytime and anywhere!
If you have to pick, what is your favorite kind of wedding day?
What is a piece of advice you love to give brides to help them with preparing for their big day?
It’s just about you two! No one else. All the small stuff are exactly small stuff. You want to elope – freakin elope. You want to get married at a church – you do you. Don’t worry about others opinions about your special day. You want to look back on your big day and say “yup that was so our wedding day!”
