Kayla and Ken wanted a day that fit them perfectly, and their Maui Tropical Plantation wedding was so true to who they are. They shared with me that one of their favorite things to do is wake up early to share coffee and read the newspaper together before starting their day. So it was so fitting that they spent most of the day together. The only time they were separated was while Kayla put her dress on. Ken was still ecstatic during the first look, even though they spent most of the day together.
Kayla and Ken have Bumble to thank for bringing them together! They really matched by chance, since Ken was just visiting San Diego to reach a new frequent flyer status 😂After months of talking on the phone, they finally had their first date. Sparks flew, and a few months later, Kayla was moving to Hawaii!
It was an absolutely incredible day at the Maui Tropical Plantation, and as a bonus their videographer Caleb with No Ko Oi Media was phenomenal to work alongside of!
On top of all that, Kayla left me the most amazing review:
“Photography from your wedding will be cherished for a lifetime, photos can be an investment, so you should love them!! Especially since this was an elopement with just my husband and I, these photos were the most beautiful way to share our day with family. YES they are candid, fun, whimsical, airy, colorful, magical- Chelsea’s portfolio was exactly what we were looking for. We booked her immediately and the search was over.
The things I loved about that day…. Chelsea captured the beautiful moments: facetiming with my parents as I got ready, the first look, the crying vows, the excitement. I feel the day every time I see these photos.”
