Marly and Andrew’s Elopement on Oahu all started with a right swipe! I’m so here for online relationships resulting in a vow exchange. Their love of travel is what landed them on the islands of Hawaii for their intimate elopement. It was just the two of them and one of my favorite officiants, Wesley with Love Always Weddings Hawaii at one of my fav locations. They said “I do” on the lava rocks near the ocean, and we adventured around the overlook above the beach. It was a gorgeous evening!
One of my favorite questions to ask couples before their wedding is what they want to remember about this season of their lives 20 years from now. I love it because it’s a deep question allows them to reflect on things that are the most exciting for them! Their answer was awesome – it was about where they are in their lives, and how their elopement perfectly fits in:
“We want to remember what an exciting stage of life this was for us. We travelled to South Korea and Japan last year where I met many of his extended family members for the first time. We moved into a wonderful little house last year after being stuck in a crappy apartment. Now we’re hoping to buy a home together later this year. The engagement and our marriage are icing on the cake to an incredibly exciting time for us. Right now and we’re looking forward to what the near future has in store for us.”
