You won’t believe that this beautiful Crescent Bay Point Park proposal location was our Plan B. Gavin and I collaborated on a meeting spot at the beach for the moment he would propose to Micaela. I always get to the location at least 30 minutes early to get set up and scope things out. That’s when I send a thumbs-up text or a Plan B text. When I arrived, the tide was higher than I’d seen at this beach. I always track the tides, so I knew it was only going to get higher. I pulled out my phone to see if I got it wrong when a lifeguard came by to tell everyone that we had about 10 minutes until where we were sitting would be underwater. It was time for the backup plan!
Crescent Bay Point Park Proposal Locations
Crescent Bay Point Park has an amazing view of the Laguna Beach coastline. It’s one of the lesser-known lookouts in the area, which means fewer people. It’s a chill sunset spot with a few lookout points and a grassy area. I “saved” the proposal spot by standing there until I saw Gavin and Micaela nearby. I stepped back while they took in the view and shot a quick thumbs up when Gavin looked back. It was time! Micaela immediately started tearing up and was totally surprised. When Micaela realized I was there taking photos, I gave Gavin a high five, and he said the lookout was even better than the beach. We had so much fun exploring the park area as people congratulated them. We even got the cutest photo bomb from Bruno. You’ll know when you see him!
Not only did Gavin surprise Micaela with a ring, but he also had their families fly in to celebrate at dinner! Gavin and I talked over Instagram, emails, texts, and phone calls. Whatever it took to keep it under wraps along the way. He pulled off an epic surprise with this one!
