Do you guys remember Hurricane Lane? People make jokes about it now, calling it “Hurricane Lame” because it never really touched Oahu. Let me tell y’all something, when that hurricane was barreling toward us, it was not funny. In the middle of prepping my house for the worst, I still had weddings to photograph, and my beautiful couple Haley and Chris wanted trash the dress photos in Hawaii. (You may recognize these two from their wedding blog here) I’m all about embracing the rain if it comes down to it, and I’m so glad these two were down for whatever the weather was going to bring. Haley told me it was actually kind of perfect because Chris proposed during a hurricane. Cue the awwww’s.
This session turned out to be pretty epic! This is one of my favorite locations to shoot at because it has a little bit of everything. Amazing views you can easily climb to, and a big beautiful beach. We started cliff side and got some awesome veil shots, and we ended down on the beach and of course in the water! Talk about making the most out of your destination wedding and wedding dress!
