Utah Elopement Photographer | Mai + Dustyn
Mai and Dustyn are two of my fav people. I originally met them when they were living in Hawaii and they actually helped kick off my adventure photography career by modeling in an elopement styled shoot for me. So when they asked me to photograph the REAL THING this time in Utah, it was a 100000% YES!
Mai and Dustyn are the definition of sweet – both individually and together. It’s an honor to call them my friends! They are so kind, generous, and great people to be around! Last year I visited them in SLC to go snowboarding, and this time was extra special seeing them on their elopement day!
Utah was having a dry winter. Even just before their elopement, they went to check out the location and there wasn’t much snow to see. But it snowed before and during their elopement, we got so lucky! It was magical!
Mai and Dustyn met by chance at a homeless clinic where Mai was volunteering as a social worker, and Dustyn was working as a med student. Mai had to leave work early one day to take care of her dad, and Dustyn messaged her to check in on her… and to ask her out on a date! They’ve been together for over 3 years now, bought a home in Utah, and have so many fur babies that Dustyn had to put a limit on the amount they can have in his vows 😂
